    Don't sports starting pistols use .22 blanks ?
    You could try asking a local athletics club about them ?

    Try Global Supplies. They specialize in this. Projector ( dart gun name probably for legal reasons) Blanks etc. They are colour coded for specific distance applications.

    Nope. These days they use a funky proprietary cap.
