Changing double set triggers
Hey there,
What do you think about the feasibility of having an old BRNO with these triggers changed to a single stlye one?
Can a smith perform such a miracle?
How different are the BRNO 21 vs the Mauser 98 triggers?

Re: Changing double set triggers
The trigger leaves a lot to be desired without setting it.
Once set its a dream and can even be a little light.
I gave this rifle to a friend and just want him to be comfortable in the bush while using it for hunting,

Re: Changing double set triggers
You could have a lot of fun with that rifle. Tell the newbie that the little trigger is for shooting springbok and the big one is for shooting kudu.

Re: Changing double set triggers
I personally, as a collector, think it would be a travesty to meddle with it like that. A much better solution would be to get a decent gunsmith to adjust the weight/creep/over-travel of the standard trigger and possibly slightly increase the weight of the hair trigger if it's too light. That would not adversely affect the rifle's value.

Re: Changing double set triggers
I'll save you the trouble of getting involved in all that trigger business.......
If you pay me a small fee I'll take that piece of old, outdated technology off your hands and swap it for a nice modern current up-to-date technology Howa or Savage or something similar.............
