Source of Information During lockdown
Hi Guys.
Not sure if a repost, but can we look at putting together a good reference of where to get information about the lock down? Before and during....
ie. Good source of news etc for things happening as close to realtime as possible.
Twitter? Any good channels to follow or people to follow?
ENCA?
NEws24?
Any suggestion are appreciated.

Also try and look at alternative media instead of mainstream media.

Re: Source of Information During lockdown
Besides the corona specific sources already posted; tretty much all news media have been deemed essential so will be operating.
Try to get 2 or 3 sources just to be sure that info is legit.

Definately not Whatsapp Groups....
If Afrikaans you can try "Oorgrens Veiligheid." On Facebook as well. They do research before posting.

Re: Source of Information During lockdown
I got a Whattsapp message saying Corona Virus outbreak is proof that "the rapture is near" and I must repent (and share the message). Nevermind I don't even believe in the rapture (I hate dinosaurs).
It seems the clowns and tinfoil hats are crawling out of the woodwork, so we all need to careful in our news sources (and even more in sharing them).

Re: Source of Information During lockdown
Thanks Marius and Treeman.
I'm not aiming at the masses or making money from it, so it really is just a page with links to articles that I find interesting. I might write something now and then, but you guys are certainly better off, for a single source of news, at the BBC, CNN and the website of Johns Hopkins University.
I also find the podcasts from Sam Harris really informative around this pandemic.
