s13 Renewal

Good afternoon,

My s13 expires in August, I'm already 6 days into my 90 day renewal period due to the lockdown, so I would like to get it done asap as my DFO just confirmed they are accepting renewals again.

Do I have all the requirements here?

SAP 518a renewal form
SAP 518-Anex for motivation (I'm going the short motivation route "circumstances have not changed etc...")
ID Copy
2x Photos
Competency Cert - I'm getting some conflicting information here - should I fill in a renewal document (517g)? I also have 2x s15 rifles on the same competency, so not sure whether this means my competency stays valid until the oldest license expires or should be renewed now?

SAP 523 Acknowledge receipt of documents, optional but not a bad idea.

I had to renew my Competency when I renewed the license for my shotgun. Expect to pay 2xR70. The DFO made a copy of the payment as proof of submission. You will then get an SMS confirming your application.

My DFO was very helpful and guided me through all the steps.

Does that mean they want my training certs again, or is it just a formality?
Surely they would already have all that information on their super efficient system.

Take 4x photos
when I renewed recently, had to renew competency (2 photos) and another 2 for license renewal.

Ask your DFO what their requirements are.
They do differ in their interpretation of the legal requirements.
