Another newbie heads down the rabbithole!
Greetings All
After somehow managing to reach the ripe old age of 32 with almost no exposure to firearms, I have gone and fallen down the rabbithole of all things firearm just as economic circumstances (generally and personally) have gone to sh1t!
Just before lockdown, I stopped in at my local dealer here in Maritzburg and on first impressions was drawn towards a shiny new CZ P-07 Gen 2, but with the implications of the rona I'm probably going to be looking at 2nd hand...
From what I've seen it will be more likely to find a decent condition G19 than a P-07 - any suggestions on what alternatives I should look at? Not brand conscious, just looking for a reliable, serviceable 9mm in that "compact"-ish size to carry and punish at the range while I learn the fundamentals.
Cheers!

Re: Another newbie heads down the rabbithole!
Welcome Congrats on making the pro-gun choice.
Almost any reliable firearm is better than a harsh word and a sharp stick.
General recommendation here on the forum is to stick with proven, reliable brands with good backup, especially if you want to shoot much. Glock and CZ falls into that category. S&W, Beretta etc are also good, but parts might be a problem.
