LIFE AND DEATH IN SHANGHAI ( South Africa )
PRISONERS OF THE THOUGHT POLICE
This is a first-hand account of China's cultural revolution. Nien Cheng, an anglophile and fluent English-speaker who worked for Shell in Shanghai under Mao, was put under house arrest by Red Guards in 1966 and subsequently jailed. All attempts to make her confess to the charges of being a British spy failed; all efforts to indoctrinate her were met by a steadfast and fearless refusal to accept the terms offered by her interrogators. When she was released from prison she was told that her daughter had committed suicide. In fact Meiping had been beaten to death by Maoist revolutionaries.

You must admit your guilt not only to the People's Government, but also to yourself. The admission of guilt is like the opening of the floodgates.
When you admit sincerely that you are indeed guilty . . . your confession will flow out easily.''

Re: LIFE AND DEATH IN SHANGHAI ( South Africa )
My mother always said that if it ends with an "ism" it probably evil... (Socialism, Marxism, Communism, Satanism etc.)
Interestingly enough, if one looks at the evil rulers or regimes from the last century or so its easy to spot a very specific pattern...
They first deceive the masses into believing that they are the messiah that will lead them out of (pick a catastrophe: war, unrest, famine, poverty, exploitation, slavery bla, bla, bla)
They have a specific belief system that EVERYONE must convert to. That belief system becomes the only truth, anything else is sacrilege and MUST be routed out...
Those who fail to or refuse to willingly become proselytes / true believers of the new belief system are systematically re-educated, tortured, murdered, starved until they convert or die.
They set up systems to control all transactions and every facet of the economy. Those who fail to believe in the new system cannot trade or be economically active...
They set up systems to control the food supply / food production and distribution. Those who fail to believe don't get to eat...
The leaders set themselves up as ABSOLUTE rulers whose opinions or ideas may NOT EVER be challenged almost as if they are gods that have to be worshiped and served by the masses... (Check out the impressive military parades, honor days where the populace are allowed to bring flowers or wave flags in honor of dear leader big brother.) And they eventually get a HUGE statue or their image plastered across massive signboards or the "wall of heroes" or some shit so that they may be remembered / honored / worshiped by anyone seeing the statue or image of dear leader.
Now this is where its gets into Ripley's Believe it or not territory... (and where I fuck up the thread for everybody...)
There is a book that predicts the rise and reign of a political leader doing exactly all of the above but on a scale (globally) that most of us cannot humanly imagine. (Probably in the lifetime of some people reading this. Except me, I plan on being gone by then)
Most people on this forum probably have a copy of that book or they know of it. But sadly they refuse to believe it.

Re: LIFE AND DEATH IN SHANGHAI ( South Africa )
In addition the average South African IQ is 77, what this translates to practically is:
Poor reasoning
Diminished capacity for abstract thinking
Poor cognitive ability
Lack of critical analysis etc etc etc...
In other words the majority of the population are easily manipulated and fooled. The perfect hosts for any "ism" you can think of, interested only in short term gains (welfare grant) and shallow entertainment.
And since IQ is genetic, no amount of any kind of engineering can solve it.

I am familiar with Dr Peterson's work, but I don't see any connection it has to the determination of the average IQ of South Africans.

Re: LIFE AND DEATH IN SHANGHAI ( South Africa )
The IQ discussion is seriously racist, at best the IQ calculations that most countries use are culturally biased. If you create one that is math based then cultures or people that have been schooled in math will perform better. IQ tests measure schooling levels, not education mind you, on specific subjects. These arguments about lower IQ's in Africa remind me of the scientists not so long ago that went around measuring heads to proof that certain races were inferior to them.
And Dr Peterson is a junkie, forgive me if I don't value his opinion very highly. He is just a conservative "superstar" like Shapiro who discuss with morons and then feel superior about beating them. When confronted by people that can actually argue their points they fail.

IQ research is well documented from multiple sources, you may google at your leisure. Even the most rudimentary search will yield results. How difficult can it be?
