Re: LIFE AND DEATH IN SHANGHAI ( South Africa )
The IQ tests are based on schooling, if you continuously perform exams or multiple-choice test you will on average perform better than somebody who has not had that opportunity irrespective of intellectual capabilities. When somebody claims the IQ in Africa is let's say 70% then they ignore the fact that it is an average, anybody who has been in real Africa knows that people are in fact average, some smart, some not so smart. Outliers in both directions are rare.
My own experience is that in most countries the average person is better educated than their South African counterparts and certainly have more drive to succeed. General statements that in Africa the IQ is lower than in the rest of the world stink of prejudice. And people who like to repeat them are racist.

Re: LIFE AND DEATH IN SHANGHAI ( South Africa )
The second link means f#@k-all; i.e. 10 years out of date. Plus I personally knew 2 people that was part of Mensa at the time. So, somehow, the data cannot be correct.
As for the first link, not quite sure how the 1300+ MENSA members mean that the average IQ of SA is 70. Or how it is genetically low.
Perhaps I am missing something?
