Only 22lr better then the CZ455 is the CZ455 varmint thick barrel version.

Definitely CZ455 for rifle practice....I love my 10/22 TD, but it is a (hungry) fun plinker, not a marksman's rifle

Buy a 455 and spend the 6K difference on buing 5000 rounds of good quality ammo. should last a month or 2 :)

Depends on the purpose off course, but I would get the bolt action first. Bolt guns are generally much less fussy about ammo. They shoot the cheap unplated ammo reliably and quite accurately. A semi-auto usually prefers plated HV ammo, which is more expensive. A semi-auto is also very HUNGRY. Yes, I love my 10/22, but depending on application, the bolt action usually gets preference.

I concur with both of the above statements! Personally I own a BRNO Mod 2E and I'm waiting for my licence for my S&W M&P15-22! First go for the CZ455/457 which is the more modern version of the BRNO Mod 2 and if you do some research you'll discover that the S&W has a few distinct advantages over the Ruger!
