Calling all Spyderco fans, shall we call you Spydermen?

For those of you that follow the knife threads would have noticed I'm a sucker for a custom knife. However after losing a knife over the weekend, which was "luckily" my CRKT (which has served me well for a number of years), I decided it is time to look elsewhere for a quality knife which is easily replaceable.

With Christmas around the corner (and the possibility of a bonus ) I will be looking at getting a production knife as an EDC, this knife will be used for the normal knife jobbies, opening boxes/packets/bags, braai'ing, eating biltong and a bit of farm work. I do own a Leatherman so I only need a knife, not a mobile toolbox. Budget would be around R3000.00.

Now my question, is Spyderco the way to go or are there any alternatives I need to look at and consider?

The size I'm considering is about 15cm-20cm when open, and about 7-10cm when folded, judging by what I've read this will be in the Delicta 4 range?
