On the piece of land where I hunt thevone dam has run completely dry, the resident covey of francolin seems to be missing there. I am in the process of installing geavity feeders near all dams and streams to help them, and maybe establish new coveys, also installing small water troughs in various spots in the bush.

I hunt in Setlers area and the Francolin are way more than last year the same time.
Teir condition is good and there are much more this year.

Good shoot this weekend in Kroonstad - Guineafowl numbers decent - very few Francolin and zero ducks due to lack of standing water. Plenty Guineas and great shooting although cover is very sparse.
