Just ordered an Esee Avispa D2, what is your take on the knife?

Re: Esee Avispa D2
Unlike their fixed blades these are made in Taiwan. A good knife but similar to run of the mill kershaws and CRKTs.
Have the Zancudo and the black finish wore off from some hard use.Youtube: pdh BeepRunShoot Twitter: @pdhBeepRunShoot Instagram: pdh_BeepRunShoot

Re: Esee Avispa D2
D2 is a fantastic knife steel. If treated correctly, it's hard and tough which means it will hold its edge for ages.
Might be a bit of a pain to sharpen, and some people say it doesn't get quite as sharp as other steels, but IMO it's one of the best steels out there.
Keep in mind that it's not stainless, so you will need to wipe it down after cutting meat or vegetables, but the relatively high chrome content means it should be lower maintenance than regular carbon steel knives.
Enjoy it!
