Could you keep something like this in a BOB? Or would they give off an odour?

For the price it seems like a great option

I keep a couple of them in my Hiking Bag, but I wrap them and my Esbit stove in a facecloth and but them between my Dixies. Haven't ever had an issue with the cloth smelling or the bag.

Keep in a sealed container. If my memory is correct, hexamine is not water tolerant.

I do keep some in my bag.Yes there is an odour but a plastic bag or sealed container will work great. We received stock of two 30kg bags, and it has not been a problem in the office.

Mine arrived last week. Thanks Craig. Definitely need to be stored in a sealed container. Hexamine does stink!, as do the precursors for making the stuff!

For some the scent of Hexamine brings back memories

I sold a few thousand to a catering company for use on potjies at events and they are happy with it.

Bought many of these long time ago and they still work. Mostly using them as fire lighters due to work interfering with camping attempts
