I can confirm that the rofle was still produced under the BRNO name... I also own a BRNO .22 an SS 12 guage... Had no issues with either... The .22 action is of the best I have experienced, fits into part of my collection nicely... I'm considering making an offer allowing me to add optics for the same price...

    Hi 12 guage,

You will not go wrong with a BRNO however, R8K is too much, a new CZ550 cost between R10K and R16K and you can get a new HOWA, which is also remowned to be very accurate and good qaulity for arround R7K. Just shop around!

Make an offer of R5K and if it is not accepted buy a HOWA.

    My 2c,

Many will argue with me but that combination will drop absolutely anything including Eland in a pinch (with good shot placement). It has mildish recoil and packs a punch. Buy the gun!

have to agree with Dave on the 130grn and 270, and the rest of the guys positive feedback. BUT, since it is a second hand rifle there is really no other way to tell in what condition the previous owner left the barrel. one spot of moist few years ago can leave you with a inaccurate rifle.

if possible get the rifle to the range and shoot a few rounds and have a look at the groups. offer to pay for the rounds and costs going with this request, it will be worth the trouble. imagine buying this normally accurate rifle and caliber, then waiting a year or so for license just to find out on you first day on the range that there is something wrong with this rifle.

For just under R7000 you can buy a brand new Howa 270, as previously stated. I must add that its the most comfortable rifle I have held and from what I have heard and read is that they are dead accurate.
