but some do find it heavier to rack, though. It is a three-spring setup that becomes progressively heavier as the slide moves rearwards, and the third spring is quite heavy.

To the OP.

This can be overcome by a rack assist device and in the process keeping her independent for the racking aspect.

Abroad there are aluminium or moulded plastic versions some Clamp on onto the finger grooves whilst others fit into the backplate slot. (replacing the backplate)

There are also 3d printed Clamp on designs that can work.
