Snub nose revolvers are humbling

If it's running it's original grips that may be part of the problem. I shot one a bit both before and after the installation of a set of Pachmayrs and the difference with stout 357 was very notable.

Just after I got the gun, I switched to Pachmayer compact grips and it made a ton of difference. I cannot see what the idea is in designing the factory grips in that way. Can anybody maybe enlighten me in the reason for the stupid factory grips? T.IA

Only thing that I can think of is compactness. The Ruger Sixes were available with chunkier 'Target' grips as a factory option almost from the beginning and are similar in profile to Pachmayr Signatures. Been keeping an eye out for a set of those but nothing's come up.
