Walther P4
Hi guys
I have a friend who has been appointed executor of an estate that holds amongst other things a P4 and a target .22
I know nothing about these value wise or anything else.
Where would he get the best advice, he stays on the westrand, gauteng.
In regards to selling, keeping, servicing etc.
He is contemplating selling the P4 and keeping the .22 for sport.

Re: Walther P4
The Walther P38's usually fetch R2500-R4000. Most I have seen went for R2800-R3500.
The P4 is a later production model of the P38 with shorter barrel and aluminium frame. I doubt that it will make a big difference on the price.
Havw a look at the Classic Arms auctions to verify prices.

Re: Walther P4
To get rid of the rust marks on the P4, get some fine steel wool (it must be steel, nothing else) and penetrating oil. Soak the rusty areas and the steel wool with the oil and lightly rub the rusty parts. Keep going till the rust is gone. This should not harm the gun blue.

Missing extractor. Suggests other issues.
