I have worked on a lot of different surveillance systems over the past 20+ years and not once was is NOT possible to recreate incidents' time lines. What is their problem? Don't tell me a hotel in Las V does not have even an average quality surveillance system.
That is the problem with the scenario.

Vegas is a big place with lots of cameras and probably equally as much security camera specialists like yourself. So let’s assume there are lots of people there that can do exactly what you are speaking of, in short no lack of someone who can do the task.

That means someone is prevented from doing so, for some reason. Now let’s say a shooting like this happens, the cops and FBI gets on scene, first thing they do is acquire all such evidence. So let’s say the FBI took it, then you cannot blame the local police department from getting everything wrong the whole time. Every time you look at that sheriff he’s got the look of someone that is forced to say something, but that he doesn’t know what he is expected to say. So while many says they are getting it wrong I cannot help but feel the police is kept in the dark and still expected to deal with the public.

Also, let’s say some government institution got hold of it first, after that there is nothing, the concept is moot, from there on you don’t know what you are looking at, it could be edited in any way.

For example, a few post back WZ reported that the perpetrators house was broken into.
I in turn asked who locked it?

You see the guy was dead, his girlfriend was not located when they breached his home. I don’t have the details of how they did this but, perhaps someone can enlighten us. But I would think his door was broken down, or some sort of tactical breach in case they were expected further trouble or just being cautious. So a week after this neighbours report a break-in, so who exactly fixed the house up in the meantime, the police or the FBI?

You cannot blame the people for immediately jumping to conspiracies, why, well because they are treated like mushrooms. If all investigators were just honest about everything all would have been good, but they are not.

I agree with you Messor in the issue of some guvmant org taking he footage. Keep in mind that footage gets backed up - ussually as it is recorded either on site or most probably off-site ... and usually not in close proximity of the origin of the system (read very far away). Where are those backups and when will they surface? Unless the footage owner received a gag order from the guvmant, but then that info would also surface at some point.

So I am very very very reluctant to entertain a view of conspiracy but, looking at the possible logic there might be some fire behind the smoke.

I'm sure he would have had ear protection.
Why would someone intent on commiting suicide want to protect his hearing?

If he actually did use ear pro, that is likely the next thing on the libtards' ban list...

Because even if you are going to die, you preferably don't want to feel extra pain. Rifle fire indoors without ear protection is a rather painful sensation...

I've been doing simple sport shooting for about 5 years, and I almost threw up after shooting an indoor stage with my braked 308. that's what.... 20 rounds?
you go try concentrating with a muzzle brake and a thousand rounds. indoor. without earpro.

If he did not, no chance he would have fired so many rounds from a hotel room.

I mentioned the ear pro specifically because of the noise expected from shooting a rifle indoors. (I double plug when shooting unbraked guns outside.) A crime scene investigator should have found his ear pro somewhere there, if he was the actual shooter.

About these so called "conspiracy theories": Any criminal investigation would likely be a conspiracy theory, untill all the facts have been proven in court.

I always wonder about that. These mass/spree killers and never any discussion about ear pro. Or cop shootings etc. I’ve been sans ear pro in a room with gunfire and my left microphone never recovered.

When I was in the service, I don’t remember ever getting ear plugs given me to use. Probably another reason my ears ring with tinnitus.........well, that and 30 something years in front of a Marshall 100 watt amp stack.

A friend of mine, Captain in a local Sheriff’s department had a gang banger run towards his cruiser, driver side door, capping off at him as he ran. My friend flopped down to the right, kinda laying over as he fired his own pistol out the window , back at the guy, kinda over his left shoulder......pistol close to his left ear.

He said it took a month for his ears to stop ringing. I’m like, only a month.......you are lucky. My fucking ears never recovered and it’s been years.
