Newbie - Most Popular
High guys, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I'm super excited to invest in my first knife.
I'm leaning towards a spyderco, benchmade or a ZT, haven't made my mind up as to which specific one yet.
I'm also interested in maybe starting to make some G10 Scales. Now my question is which folding knives are the most popular in South Africa? I'm leaning toward Spyderco but then again I'm pretty new to this and I'm sure you guys will be able to give me better insight to this.

Howdy dude,
First and foremost don't only base your decision on popularity, you need to factor in your intended use as well as your budget.
Also, don't be fooled by brands, knife centre posted a very good video of why some cheaper production blades are actually better than their high end counterparts.
Take a browse through Sharpedge and Take a lot (under the knife guy) and see what grabs your fancy. Work from there.
Stay Bladed.

Re: Newbie - Most Popular
I think I wasn't that clear. It's more of a two part question.
Question 1: If I'm interested in making scales for knives which models should I concentrate on. Like maybe the Spyderco Endura?
Question 2: For me I'm looking at a general purpose EDC knife. Something when taken out could start-up a conversation with the knife connoisseurs what which brands should I consider.

Spyderco Stretch, spyderco Delica, Spyderco PM2, Spyderco Endura 4.
Benchmade Bone Collector.
I enjoy my fixed blades, so take a look at the KaBar BK series. Huge mods online for them.

Re: Newbie - Most Popular
So I got a bit carried away and settle for these two blades
Spyderco Tenacious & the ZT Hinderer Folder Slicer.
