Colt to stop production of all MSR's for the civilian market
Sad to see one of the MSR pioneers halt production for civilians. They produced some top quality rifles, albeit we don't get to see many here in SA.

Re: Colt to stop production of all MSR's for the civilian market
It is more of a "pause" in supplying the civilian market. They currently have big military contracts to full fill.
They don't have the production capacity to supply the civilian and government/LE markets.
Once they big military contracts needs are met , they will supply the civilian market , it makes business sense. The civvie market is small.

Re: Colt to stop production of all MSR's for the civilian market
The market in the US is also over supplied. Before Trump came in, manufacturers ramped up production in anticipation of a Democrat win. Belief was a tightening of control (gun) laws under the Democrats would lead to a rush of buyers. That didn't happen and there's been an oversupply of weapons. Remington is a case in point (although that's not the full story behind their troubles).

Re: Colt to stop production of all MSR's for the civilian market
From TFB:- Colt press statement explaining that this is just a pause in supplying the civilian market rather than an all-out stoppage.
