Me ? I say far, very far, a million years apart.
Exakkketaly.
I don't even know how to explain the meat. Only thing somewhat similar is texture.
What about feral pigs?
No hormones in their diet, and much more physical activity. Their meat should be closer to true wild pigs.
Hormones aren't used to increase growth in domestic pigs.

Thanks.
In my mind a bush pig, domestic pig and farmed pig from a commercial piggery are three vastly different things because of the feed they eat.
These two animals can interbreed ? and domestic swine do revert back to B/Pig after very few generations - year or two ?
****************
The meat ? The texture? The color?
How would each of these differ so vastly if !!!!
Lets compare to people.
Take whiteys, coloreds and say Indians, Domestic pigs feral pigs and b/pigs (I can just imagine the political correctness playing havoc), they all human, all have same requirements, same basic form, slight variation in pigmentation - I assume we all taste the same?
Pigs are pigs, should they not all be 99% the same with perhaps a slight variation in subtleties of flavor.
I mean red meat/white meat - acid content is hugely different between the two as well.
Is a Warthog a pig ? Are these 3 animals not as are colored, Chinese, Indian euro's to the Human race ?
Are these 3 not perhaps more human - chimp - baboon by comparison ?
Warthog are very different from bushpig and domestic/feral pigs. Their litter size are much smaller (4 or less) and their gestation period is much longer (5-6 months) just to mention two things. While bushpig and domestic pigs can interbreed, the same is not true for warthog.
