I believe they vary between 1:8 and 1:9 twist for new models. Older Brno's were 1:12. My old Brno wouldn't stabilize 62gr bullets, key holes even at 50m.
ok...so how do I find out what the twist is?
Drop a cleaning rod down barrel from crown and put a new brass brush on it. Pull it into barrel until it starts to turn , mark the spot with stripe on the crown - rod matching and across rod. Pull rod till mark on rod comes round again and lines up on crown. Mark across rod again.
You have pulled rod though one revolution, measure the distance between first across mark and second.
If its 9 inch's you have 1 revolution in 9 inch's - a 1:9 barrel twist, or what ever the distance is.
Go to website below and have a look at his "goepertjie" to determine barrel twist - top right on page.
