I wanted this advice when I bought but didn't get round to asking and bought a Tentco. They are plenty good and a demo model can be bought for cheaper if you are the factory.
Stuff I would like to look at next time .
Can the door fully open.
How high is the floor sail going off the ground.
Cant comment on campmor, but I do have a tentco dome tent.
Very happy with it. had it for about 7 years now. Still as good as new.
No leaks. no tears, rips etc.
Tentco is good value for money.
Also have a Tentco dome, 3 years no problems.
Lekker
Sounds good
Thanks
Could I offer some more advice?
Get a tent that has windows that go as far to the floor as possible. In hot weather you will get the benefit of any breeze blowing.
I like to stand in a tent so that is a big factor for me.
Try get a tent with a flysheet that acts as shade.
Which model are you looking at?
Am I being overly optimistic in looking for a modular tent system? I am keen to get a tent set up that I can use as a single tent but with an option to add a "corridor" to connect it to a second identical tent for family camping?
Neil,
the Oz Tent is a great choice. They are very well made and erect in 30 seconds (seen it with my own eyes). They are modular and can be zipped together and have a bunch of optional extra's.
Not cheap mind so if on a tight budget this could be a problem.
Charl, let me add to your homework. Have a look at howling moon tents too.
