Apparently GOSA is drafting papers. Capt Nkabinde from the CFR has stated to more than one person that their cards were printed yesterday (14th) but then said to another person yesterday that there is no card printing happening. :re:
Re: License cards... HOW LONG CAN THEY TAKE?
I phoned CFR today, my card was printed yesterday (license was approved on the 13th of March).

All cards collected today.

Collected a card today at Garsfontein - Pretoria, approved on 13/03/2020.
Re: License cards... HOW LONG CAN THEY TAKE?
Email from NHSA
Hang in there everyone.
Dear member,
At least some good news - the waiting for some of us for licence cards is nearly past (in Gauteng at least).
We have it on good authority that a large number of printed licence cards have been received at Gauteng Province from the government printer.
These licence cards will be distributed to police stations in Gauteng in a short time after they have been processed on provincial level
We hold thumbs that you are one of the lucky ones !!
Regards
Natshoot Office

We are asking the court for a declaratory order that the computer record is the licence (as with drivers' licences), and that a duly authorised printout from the EFM system is sufficient evidence that a licence has been granted.
This will render any printing backlogs totally moot, and free up all those firearms languishing in dealers' storage.
This will be a major benefit to EVERYONE, including SAPS!

Will GOSA also be taking up the delay in Licensing appliactions that has been outstanding for more than 90 working days as per the SAPS mandate as i truly believe that there is many of us in this boat??
