Thanks KBK.
I'll be there around 12pm/1pm. Perhaps I see you there SAS
Will be making a flying visit to get my membership card. Around 1430.
Don't know visitors fees sorry. The number R 50 springs to mind but don't know why yearly fee is R 500. IIRC.
Thanks guys for the heads up people. I went there today at around 1pm and spoke to a pleasant and most helpful chap named Gerhard.
He says he's an RO/SO at the club but is retiring as he's moving.
Was kind enough to give me the ins and outs as well as take my wife and me on a brief tour of the facility and to look at a few of the ranges.
I'll definitely be there next weekend to witness the club shoot and hope to chat to a few of the guys then.
Oh and to those interested, their website is now up and running since being down this morning. Visitors fee if using the range is R50 pp and to join is an annual fee of R500 with a registration/admin fee of R150.
So initially it's a once off R650.00 to join.
Kraaifontein range is great for handguns but poor for rifles. Their longest distance is 100 meters. I therefore decided to join Durbanville shooting club as they have a handgun range, a shotgun range and a rifle range to 500 meters.

It's 200m.....500m you will be hitting the guys in kraaifontein ....
Anyone going to Kraaifontein range tomorrow. I was hoping to liberate a few projectiles from their casings. I was hoping to go there seeing that the weather would likely be amazing compared to the normal indoor range I often find myself soul alone in..
If anyone will be in the area tomorrow, would you please let me know? I would like a more experienced person to show me a few things and possibly correct a few bad habits?
Cheers.
False Bay Open day tomorrow. Just saying, use it don't use it.
