Default Fair price for Sako rifle

    Hi guys

I hope this thread is in the right section.

I have first option on a 30-06 Sako 85 hunter. Good condition. Laminated stock. Scope excluded.

What would a fair price be? We are both not sure what would be fair.

    I would appreciate your inputs.

I bought a new Sako 85 222rem laminated stainless at November 2018. And it was 31 or 32,000 New.

New at SO is listed as R34k, but no stock.

This rifle described is second hand. Apologies if that wasn't clear.

If 1 year and older. I would think closer to 20.

There is a stainless 85M coming on auction with scope in 9.3x66 , it'll probably sell for around 25k.

For the used 30-06 Hunter, 15k is a fair price.

    Thanks!

How would you tell the difference between the two?

Marking on the rifle state Sako 85 M and the serial nr.

Purely on the stock. African Hunter has a laminated stock and the Hunter has walnut stock.

Action, trigger and barrel should be the same

    Thank you.

My original post is then incorrect, as it is the hunter with walnut stock that I am looking at.

I cannot find the African hunter on the Sako website, apparently it was a limited edition.

    Interesting cartridge

    https://old.municion.org/9_3/9_3x66Sako.htm

SAKO special -- based off 30-06 type case

This is an interesting one ...

    https://old.municion.org/Dwm/Dwm569.htm

Similar case to the all those based off the H&H 375 BUT without a belt
    or
8mmx68 S which has a semi rebated rim
