Do black powder CARTRIDGE shotguns require a firearm licence
I curious to know if black powder CARTRIDGE shotguns manufactured prior to the 1900s require a firearm licence??? Is there a certain date which allows for the firearm to be classified as antique and not to require a licence? Or do they need to be muzzle loaders?
(I do understand that one does need an explosive permit to possess black powder, so that is not my question!!)

Yes they do. It has to be a ML to be exempt. Anything that uses a cartridge is considered a firearm.
