    I first had the express sight on. For this you will need a slightly higher front one.

    I then ordered the winged model. As it protect the rear sight better. And looks to me nicer on the 1894 lines.
    With the Winged one. You use your standard front sight that came on the 1894.

    Unless you want a slightly thinner front blade that aids in aiming a bit. As the Standard one is a ball type on top. I shoot with this one. As on 50m out to a 100m I just put the ball/beed of sight on my half size IDPA Torso plate Gong. And away the shot goes.

    I suffer from severe astigmatism, hence battle with open as well as red dot sights. For this reason I put a 2-7x32 Lynx on my 1894. It fits on the rifle without looking over/ undersized.

    Have a 2-7X32 Lynx on my .22 Brno. Agree, it will make a nice fit on a 1894 also. Its eye relief are relatively long so the scope may be mounted forward a bit so that the hammer are more accessible.
