    Well it looks like to Gen 5 .40 cal Glocks are out now and from what I've heard Glock has made some significant design changes to increase their durability. Don't know if the OP has already made a decision, but if I were looking to buy a 40, the new Glock 22 or 23 would definitely be on my shortlist.

    I 100% agree. 22 Gen 4 is extremely accurate and I am also planning to get a 35, either Gen 3 or gen 4. Leaning towards gen 3

    You need to decide what you want to do with it. As a caliber .40S&W is still alive because of competition divisions like shooting standard major in IPSC. For EDC and self defense 9mmP makes more sense in a compact or carry size gun. Decide what you want to do and then look at the gear that drives that mission, not the other way around.
