Re: (Spartan Arms International) SAI MK2, any owners with feedback?
Went and looked at the PCC version today.. promptly swiped and got the 271. Looks and feels good in the hand. Flat trigger, pull weight a little heavy for my liking, can be adjusted. Only other thing is the grip they use, but can be replaced with a Magpul or whatever you want for not a lot of money.

Saw one of the Spartans at our club shoot yesterday. Looks like a lot of gun for the money and its owner was very satisfied with it.

Re: (Spartan Arms International) SAI MK2, any owners with feedback?
Hi All,
Just a quick update, I have 2 of these in a 12.5inch set up in 5.56. One just clocked 5000 rounds with zero issues, the other sitting on just under 2000 rounds.
Paid R18200 each and got a Sparc II for R2600 with the purchase of the rifle in Oct 2024, the purpose was to train my staff (in security) and really bash the shit out of it without worrying about costs.
I have no upgrades, just a red dot, sling and a ton of ammo. To test out the customer service as promised by the sales staff, I sent the rifle to Spartan for a check, they replaced the charging handle as they felt it was 'gritty' but zero issues.
Im happy to keep on supporting local with the quality and customer service given.

Re: (Spartan Arms International) SAI MK2, any owners with feedback?
I took it for a spin yesterday. It went through 360 rounds of my Ranger T ballistics mimicking cast and powder coated bullet load without without a single feed or extraction hickup. By a happy coincidence the UTG sights with Hi Viz front post I added were bang on at 30m and accuracy was good. Only issue that came up was that the last round bolt hold open stopped working at or around 30 rounds.
I was loading the brand new 33 round mags (1 x glock & 4 x UTG) with 10 rounds at a time so I got to test it extensively and it was consistent across all the mags. Will have a fiddle later today and see if I can figure it out. If not I'll take it in for them to have a look at on Tuesday.
So far I'm very happy with the purchase. If it continues to behave itself and I get useful at running it I suspect that it will grow a reflex can to go with the light I've put on it and replace my 930 Mossberg as a bump in the night gun.
