I bought my Maverick 88 (5+1) just before the lockdown at Arms in Pretoria. Was R6576. When I bought it the still had another one in stock, brand new.

I quess you are right. To me "budget shotgun" is not just the price tag, but also longevity of the product i.e. the availability of spare parts, extra barrels, industry standard chokes, accessories etc.

Even if I do like my Winchester 1300 a lot, its spare parts are almost non existent since the shottie's production finally ended in 2007. I'd never ever buy a new model Turkish weapon unless it would be purely for the shits and giggles. We have here plenty of magazine fed Turkish shotguns since our military three gun competition is perfect for such a weapon, but now there's no spare parts for most of them. And the people are in dire need for those non existent parts since the guns are breaking up one by one.

Get a Remington 870 is my to cents on this subject...
