Hi Katlagter
i have chatted to two dealers now and they said that with those Turkish Shotgun its better to go the pump gun route because the semi autos suffer from piston failure ?

Hi Ds J
Mama Mia where to start. i would love to have one of those italian ladies that start with a B in my hands.
and the vows i make will be ...
1. i promise to keep you in safe my but not all the time.
2. i promise to love to you and treat you with respect.
3. i promise to clean you and make sure you well serviced.
4. i promise to feed you the best ammo to keep you happy .

Re: Is there such thing as a budget shotgun ?
R10k isn't really a tight budget for a shotgun. Half that is more "budget". To give you an idea, I bought a Winchester 1300, with a 28" barrel, extended shell tube (holds something ridiculous like 11 slugs), fiber optic front sight, belt shell holders with spacers, sling, bag, cleaning kit, a case of ammo and a bunch of additional ammo like sporting slugs and SSGs and whatnot for R3,500 a few years ago, if I remember correctly here now. Deals like those are around.

Paid 3.5k for a Mossberg 88 right here on the forum, so keep your eyes peeled the deals do come around once a while.

Re: Is there such thing as a budget shotgun ?
Finally someone mentioned the Maverick 88 by Mossberg, I owned one, they not bad, kicks like a mule compared to my Benelli Supernova, but thats probably because my Benelli is 10 Inches longer than what my Maverick was.
If you want a general security type/ occasional bird shooting shotgun then you could consider the Maverick 88
