Clouds might smack you if you put rifle caliber holes in his steel challenge targets :P

M&P15-22 is also great for steel challenge, but I'd go PCC still for starting out 3Gun. Having to re-shoot a long rifle stage because of a prop failure doesn't sting quite as bad as 5.56 / 7.62

Hehe thanks for the insight. Will do more research but it does seem like PCC is a winner for my intended purpose. Having the same calibre as my pistol definitely makes planning and budgeting easier.

Also look at PC9. The PCC just looks like very little room for hand in front to support and keep away from muzzle.

Many years ago Ruger also had the PC9 out. Before they stopped and brought out the new one. I shot the older one alot. And it was brilliant to shoot with a ghost sight at rear.

But the PCC with maybe nice Silencer would be a winner.

CFR stopped this just before lockdown.
Formalito, S&O etc etc had to change all the guns over to "SLR-Pistol Calibre Carbine"
Couple guys still waiting for new paperwork before they can submit.
Applies to all Scorpion models in SA ("pistol", "carbine" etc)

Was referring to PCC as a calibre/ class of SLR instead of a model. But your input is appreciated and noted Will check out Ruger PC9.

I'm still quite a fan of a Glock in a Micro-Roni as a PCC substitute.

Sure its not quite the same thing and is a bit limited in accuracy but I've found it to be good enough for the 3GN and DMG I've shot so far, and means another backup handgun

    AR based PCC.

The availability of matches is much higher now with PCC being included in IPSC. Downfall is that it isn’t really suitable for proper rifle length matches.
