It's much easier to just use the website to check. You don't have to wait for them to pick up the phone

Hi, this might be a bit off topic as i am aware my application is still early days in the process, but what infuriates me is that i applied for licence S15 at start of August2020 and my application was on DFO's table for 3.5 weeks before it was captured........ and that is when my 90-120 working days started..... oh yeah, there is notice on DFO's door stating CFR will endeavor to finalise applications by 90-120 working days.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe the 90 working days start, as soon as CFR captures it.
SAPS considers the 90 working days to finalise an application more of an abstract philosophical idea than mandated legislature.

So i have confirmed my dates and this is how things stand .....
Application submitted at DFO - 2020/08/10, Captured on system by DFO (received attention)- 2020/09/03
That would give me 26 working days from date submitted to DFO, but when i was at DFO today to submitted further competency app i saw on system my S15 app is standing at 9 working days which means they only started counting from date of DFO capture.

yip. they can only prove the 90 days from the time it's captured. The previous days go in the deep black hole of nothing:)

    Sent to CFR(AVS): 8th July 2020
Received at CFR(Send to Licensing Section): 17th July 2020
Received at Licensing Section: 4th August 2020
In preparation for Consideration (I didn’t see when mine went here)
    Consideration: 18th August 2020
    Approved: 19th August
Card Collected: 18th September(it’s at my DFO ready for collection just can only go Friday)
So if mine goes like yours did, I should have my license in 2 months time.
Mine currently sitting on "SEND TO LICENSING SECTION" since 10 September.

This of course is assuming my app doesnt get lost and I am approved, the couriers dont strike, Bheki Cele doesnt try something and the planets are in alignment
