Steyr AUG - South Africa
Hi everybody,
Can anyone tell me whether there are Steyr AUG's available for sale currently in SA?
From what I can tell, they were available a while back.
It was my service rifle, along with the M4, so as far as SLR's go, I have a soft spot for it.

They are, I have one and quite enjoy it, its well balanced, compact, fun to shoot and just different. Prices are crazy though and mags are an issue as the importer isn't really customer firefly. that being said I have seen PMags available for it

Not seen any lately, bit heavy but super soft to shoot.

I went through the A1, A2 and A3. It has come a long way and is a well thought out concept. The M4 is far better suited to a combat zone, but there is just something about how the AUG feels in my hands that takes me back. It's size and ergonomics make it a fun competition gun, even with the garbage trigger.

Ya look the trigger is a heavy but at least it’s crisp (the small mercies) It’s balance is great. Where did you get training on it if I may ask?
I think S&O May have but expect to pay north of 50KDon’t take life too seriously, no one gets out alive.

I think the semi auto might actually have a better trigger. On the service rifles, you had to be mindful of how hard you press down. I was attached to a special surveillance team under 1st Recce Coy.
