Hi Gents, I need to renew my s13 pistol early next year and I have a few questions.

Can I renew to a s16 license?
My compentency has multiple tipes of arms on sec 16 but I only have one pistol. Is the pistol compentency still valid for more than 5 years?

Can I renew both the compentency and the pistol at the same time?

Please assit if possible?

If you have firearms under S16 those firearms licences and competencies are valid for 10 years
Your S13 firearm is valid for 5 years.

If you have a handgun under S13 and S16, then your handgun competency is valid for the longest licence ....
Your competencies are valid for the same period as the firearms it is connected to.

I don't think you can renew a S13 as a S16 .... but speak to your DFO
I think you going to have to apply for S16 licence or do a change of circumstance.
