Good day All.
Not sure if i may start this new thread although i know other's are also running,
was just thinking that this may be a good idea of maybe other Members that are handing in Comptency's now & moving forward to make it a bit easier to keep & track record of the above

Anyways handed in my further Comptency for a Bolt action Rifle today:2020/10/05.

Re: Competeny Applications during & after Lockdown
Damn - I'd better check the Zimbi contract in more detail. I purchased a pistol recently from Zimbi, but with lockdown and long queues also due to amnesty applications, I was turned away at the DFO and haven't gone back to resubmit the SAPS271. With the current situation 4 months grace period is unreasonable imo.

Re: Competeny Applications during & after Lockdown
I checked my contract. It is the same as yours. Zimbi recommend reapplying after a refusal, then if you are again refused, then they want to resell your firearm at original cost, after deducting a 25% fee over and above the storage fees. I am under the impression that if one has fully paid for a firearm, and the storage fees have been paid every month, then it is your property even if it is not licensed in your name. There was a recent thread arguing this point - ownership vs possession, but I can't recall the outcome.
More of a concern for me is that the particular firearm that I purchased selling price has now dramatically increased based on the new stock coming in, so to give it back at cost less deductions would be a big loss.
