Re: CZ452 22LR opinions
The 452-is a gem of a rifle. There are a lot of this or that threads on the internet but not a single one able to say that one is better than the other for anything other than for the most part subjective reasoning.Yes one may have this and the other that but 6 of 1, half dozen of the other. I cannot overstate just how good the 452 is. In fact how good they all are.

Re: CZ452 22LR opinions
The Brno is nice - lets call it old technology. The 455 is newer, have nicer furniture, may shoot SLIGHTLY better, costs more than the BRNO. The 457 is the latest technology - an adjustable trigger and a different safety to the 455. The 457 costs more than the 455.
You can get a YoDave spring kit for the 455 for about R600, which sorts the trigger out.
So you decide, BRNO, old technology, nothing wrong with it, R6000
CZ455 , just about discontinued, nothing wrong with it. You shoot same hole groupings at 50m. R12000 plus depending on the model. New ones are scarce.
CZ457, new technology, Around R17000 depending on the model
I waited for the 457, but when I saw the price, I bought a 455. R5000 buys a lot of ammo
Your choice

Re: CZ452 22LR opinions
Also. The 455s and 457s have the same barrels according to the agents . The 457 model I wanted was R7000 more than the closest 455(lux). Hard to justify that. If there was a 452 available at a good price I would have taken that.

Re: CZ452 22LR opinions
I'll jump in and add my 2 cents worth. I have 3 CZ 452's. A factory threaded 16" CZ American, a CZ Lux in 17 HMR, and a CZ trainer 28" barrel in .22 LR. All fantastic shooters. I did have to get a thread adapter for the CZ American. The European 1/2x20 threads don't like the 1/2x28 threads on my suppressors. The triggers got tuned and shoot like an Anschultz. Great on target or small game.
