Default CZ455 or WEBLEY & SCOTT Xocet

    Hi Guys

I want to buy my 1st and hopefully last 22LR. Looking at Either a CZ455 new +- R10k or the WEBLEY & SCOTT Xocet +- R6k.

The difference would go a long way to fund an improved scope, mounts and a few bricks of ammo. This will be a regular shooter not a safe queen.

    Has anybody shot both?

    Feedback and opinions welcome.

If you want it to be the last one you buy (and not knowing anything about the W&S, I'll openly add) just buy the CZ

I looked at both of them when I purchased my rimfire rifle.

I went with the CZ455 as I know that they are well supported and spares and accessories are not hard to come by.

I enjoy my CZ and true be told,it is more accurate than what I am.

Thank you for the feedback I appreciate your help. Now I see SO has the Savage Mark II Landry on special for also +- R10K.

Would you still say CZ? My gut says CZ as it is more popular in SA.

    Hi All

just for your info there are multiple gun stores with CZ455's available on order.

I have decided to go with the night sky over the American.

Although the American has the bull barrel and wooden stock the night sky is R1k less, is threaded and comes standard with the picatinny rail.

So to update the thread I did not buy the CZ. We(SO) made the decision to start camping - so all the CZ money was used to buy camping equipment. Subsequently I purchased a classic Voere 22 LR, with a Bushnell 3x -7x Custom 22 scope and suppressor.

I have shot the rifle it shoots great, need to zero the rifle once its in my possession.

Went to make an appointment this morning for license submission, DFO said come back mid-February we are too busy with amnesty, no new rifle or competency applications.

Looking forward to building my skills with the rifle.
