While Obama dithered Vladimir Putin negotiated with Assad to give up his chemical weapons.
Assad got to stay in power and Obama got a way to save face by claiming success without military

This is a fascinating article (and thank you for the link - interesting how even Hilary Clinton and John Kerry wanted to do more for the Syrian rebels) but whereas Obama fucked up, Trump betrayed allies who were at the forefront of the war against ISIS and at the same time handed over a huge military intelligence coup to the Russians.
