Best red dot for Glock 19

Hi

I am uneducated with regards to red dot sights.

I am thinking of either a
holoson 507c
Sig romeo01 reflex sght Blk
Trijicon rmr type 2 MOA

Which would the the best ?
Also what would i need to know?
Why the big price differences?

I dont want any cutting involved i understand there are connector plates or such.

Your topic title needs a bit of interpretation :)

I'm in the same place - done my best internet research (look for Sage Dynamics videos on youtube), and what I could say from that is that the RMR is the gold standard but ridiculously expensive, smaller viewing window, needs to be taken off to change the battery (long battering life though), and if you're starting off I would go for the Holosun - they have a good reputation for price/reliability/features.

Also, good luck finding adapter plates in SA - the Glock MOS ones have a reputation for being not so great, I'd love to find something like these around without having to constantly order from overseas:

Cutting the slide still allows the lowest sight mounting height.

Anyway, like I said - disclaimer: I don't actually own any of this stuff yet, waiting for my G19 Gen 5 MOS card to be printed/sent, so I'm just in the same boat.

I run a Glock 19 Mos with a holusun.

First 3-4 times mounting, RDS flew off the adapter plate.

Looks like screws were not long enough. New screws were put in, no problem. About 3000 later, RDS holding 0 without a problem.

Sits low enough for a coewitness with a set of trijcon suppressor height sights.

Love the wet up. Works well.

I would stay away from rear sight dove tail mounts. One cause you loose your rear sight, and second cause it's too high and I don't know how long they will last if beaten up on EDC.

For an EDC gun I would go with the larger MOA dot.

If not a RMR then I would choose a Holosun 407K OR 407CO.

Hoping to resurrect this thread if possible.

On re-doing Proficiency after about 15 years, I discovered my eyes had undergone the 40 year planned obsolescence and I could hardly find my front sight. Red dot makes the most sense as its distance/target focused.
I was originally looking at Holosun 507C or 508T ( RMR is kind of cool but I'd have to sell a kidney). It now appears that a bigger MOA dot makes sense for pistol - say, 6 MOA Trijicon or 8 MOA circle Holosun 407CO.

I wondered if anyone had experience with either and had any feedback.

This would be mounted on a G-Kock. ( Dis MOS a 19. )

I fitted a Holosun CO with 8 MOA, my eyes are happy now.
