Daniel Defense DDM4V7s?
Any first hand experience with the Daniel Defense DDM4V7s?
I read that at some point in 2018 DD reduced the gas port size from 0.076 to 0.069. I'm wondering if this will have any negative effect reliably running .223 through the 11.5 barrel?

Not sure on the Gas port size reduction.
The DD is a very reliable AR and if you can get one, get one.

DD very good - still probably over gassed for reliability. remember AR15 is plug and play - reasonably easy to fit adjustable gas-port (if you really hate it)

Hi David - just curious why you want to go 11.5", as opposed to a 16"?

Nothing against 16", just a little longer than I'd prefer.

Re: Daniel Defense DDM4V7s?
I'm not too excited about cutting barrels down, if anything goes wrong it will be a lot of admin to rectify. I'm happy with an 11.5 barrel, unless there's some major drawback I'm not familiar with?
I was just a bit concerned with using .223 ammo through it. I read on another forum that some 11.5/10.3 etc don't cycle well with the SAAMI spec'd .223 compared to 5.56? Not sure how factual that information was though, which is what I want to check before I order a rifle. Appreciate the responses though guys.
