GAZ, you guys work/live on a farm?
If yes then I would carry the biggest nastiest fixed blade I could, wouldnt even conceal it, could serve as a distraction when you get held up to give you a second to draw and go to town

Nope, in quite a high end/luxury business. Alot of time on construction sites though, but dressed neatly I now carry the CRKT CEO
Looked at an ENLAN relentless for my boet yesterday.

CRKT already sliced me open like a overly ripe mango

Ok so concealment is a thing I literally carry a cheap Victorinox pocket knife, its got almost everything you need but its 100% useless for self defense, for that I carry a Slimpik Mini from Xavier Knox, at R1800 they not too expensive for what you get

    Default EDC knife recommendations

I carry a Spiderco folder for every day cutting ......and a Benchmade SOCP fixed blade which came with a training knife for self defense.

I have, amongst others, one of these: https://www.takealot.com/extreme-ops-knife/PLID70400248

Very impressed with it. I think it is a knock off... It says smith n wesson on the side.

It even has a spring opening assist part. It is much better quality than I expected.
