    Default Black Friday "specials"

What a shocker... When you start seeing shops sell Taurus handguns for R8500 and S&W M&P's for R16000 on a Black Friday sale, you know we're in for some tough times...

Or they are taking people for a ride as people go into a buying flat spin as they just assume everything is cheaper because it is Black Friday.

The weak Rand has done us no favours, so I don't think it is all profiteering.
I'm glad I got into the sport when I did and don't have to buy at today's prices.

Percentage wise, I think my gun's are out performing all my investments

Bought myself a pair of Nikon Monarch 5 10x42 binos for R4700, normally retail for R7000 at Kloppers.

Most hilarious one I've seen so far...UTG AR15 magazines marked down from R395 to R360...wow that's such a huge Black Friday saving...how about "no"..

Yup, I also believe it to be the exchange rate. Makes one worry how much guns will cost in the future. Luckily I'm also set up already.

One gun shop in Pretoria is offering Black Friday 'deals' that are still more expensive than normal prices elsewhere - but there are some nuggets in amongst the catalogues, which must be more of a stock clearance exercise.

Did see someone - forget who - advertising Mauser 18s for 13k, which is a decent amount below the 16-18k retail price (for threaded barrel), but still more than a year or two ago (think the M18s in SA were more like 10-12k a couple years back?)
