    Question Re-Licensing Process

    Hi All,

Just re-licensed my Fire arm and have been trying to track via SAPS Website, Where is my App & DFO..

I got an SMS with a Reference number initially, but the Status on the website and Apps is Just "IN PROCESS"

    Status : IN PROCESS
Status Description : No status available contact the DFO
Next Step : No status available contact the DFO
    Status Date: 2020/07/30

Is there a document or process flow for the Renewals with the Statuses and order that should occur

Have contacted my DFO a couple of time, they say it is in Process

Any insight or info would be appreciated.

You've done the legal process and your FA is with you, so don't stress the reissue.

I would maybe print out a screenshot from the website showing in process? I am in the same boat - have also lost my receipt - so hopefully this will work..

Did you get the new printed out invoice ?
The finance guy here told me they can look up invoices and reprint via ID number on the new system

Havent tried, so cant guarantee, but worth a try.
Go direct to the stations finance person

The Sandton Police Station finance guy is the most unpleasant person in Gauteng. I would have more chance of just stealing the ammo from the gunshop than of getting that gremlin to "do me a favour" and print me a new invoice. He is a horrible individual on a massive power trip - have never had a good experience there, no matter how polite I am. Sorry for the rant. Touched a nerve when i saw "go direct to the finance person.."

Lesson here: As soon as you get home, file that invoice in an actual folder with other stuff related to that firearm! If you don't have a folder, buy one asap, or even just put it in your safe.

With the new system you can actually pay at any station since the invoices are on a central server
So if you dont like the one go to another
