Default FN FAL Extractor Removal Tool

Tested my newly arrived FN FAL extractor removal tool. Works a treat.

I wonder how many years of Rhodesian/Zimbabwean dirt and grease lie in the extractor spring? - looks pretty grungy.

The FAL was designed for the extractor to be removed with the tip of a bullet. Tricky, and very easy to see your extractor disappear over the horizon, never to be seen again. This is an armorers tool named ""OREA 115" by FN.

Yes from a militaria dealer in the UK. Also available from DS Arms and Brownells when they have stock.

Even with the tool, the little pin slipped out the first time and the extractor shot out with some force. I had read previously that the extractor and spring can fly out and away never to be seen again, so I tested it in the confined space of the toilet. The extractor ricocheted off the wall and landed at my feet.

Thanks for this. I am looking for some spares. It is costly and takes long to import from overseas.

Sometimes the F bomb is before the ping, if you are fast enough, otherwise it is after the ping.
