Valuation - Gecado 22LR revolver
Hey guys,
So my wife's grandfather jas a Gecado 22lr revolver with a 4" barrel (I think). Original, hasn't seen much use. His licence expires soonish I believe and he doesn't want to reapply. He wants to sell it. What would the value of this handgun be? I have no idea if it is R100 or R1000.
He offered it to me but I'm not entirely sure I want to go through the trouble of licensing it.

My dad also had one which I used as a kid. Not well made and worth nothing. My dad handed his in many years ago.

Their frames are made from a pewter-like metal. It cracks with usage, and expect the barrels to become loose too.

Unfortunately worthless and pointless taking it over.
With the cost and time of licencing it really isn't a special or viable revolver worth the hassle.
As DsJ mentioned, the frame cracks.
It usually cracks where the barrel is fitted, there is little strength in the area and has a weak spot.
I carried my dad's one in my youth, a fun plinker to shoot at the time but that also cracked after a few years and was eventually scrapped.

Sort of had one for a while, it has less structural integrity than the .22 Ruby which Cody and I shot to pieces in 2/3 years, as DsJ sais is my judgement.
As per Twitch post, if you collect Gegado weapons and want one of these, it may be hard to find good condition ones for a collection. When you dealing with R1200 and a "want-need" you just do it.
