Rutherford Forge Nessmuk Blade
Attributed to American, George ’Nessmuk’ Sears who wrote for the Forest & Stream magazine in the 1880's. His book; Woodcraft and Camping, can be considered a precursor to Modern Bush Craft
The name Nessmuk was derived from a Narragansett Indian named Nessmuk (wood drake) who taught Sears about hunting and the outdoor life, It was this pseudonym that Sears would use in his articles. The earliest recording of the Nessmuk Blade is an illustration in the 1884 edition of Woodcraft.

The Nessmuk's flowing shape of the Blade makes it ideal for outdoor, camp work, skinning and food preparation for the African Hunter and Outdoor Enthusiast. In a market dominated by "Tactical‚" style folders and fixed blades the Rutherford Forge ‚"Nessy" is functional and easy on the eye.
