Jackal.
I found this young bitch while putting out salt licks this morning. Bit of overkill, shot with 9.3x62 at less than 100m.

Re: Jackal.
Really nice photo.
Having to thank you for your photos so often, it would be nice if we had a 'like' option.

Re: Jackal.
I did not think Jackal would be shot on site in the reserve?

Re: Jackal.
TStone, when you go out, how do you decide which rifle to take with?

Re: Jackal.
We have had a serious jackal problem for the past year, we lost a lot of springbok lambs, so we actively hunt them. The idea is not to wipe them out (which will be impossible here anyway) but to reduce numbers.

Re: Jackal.
9.3 probably didn't do much damage to the pelt, looks like a nice specimen to get tanned and make a warm matjie next to the bed on cold mornings!

Re: Jackal.
Start a new fashion trend and make covid masks. Should be a hit with traditional people and you could finance your shooting activities. Or perhaps not. The Greenies will launch swarm media attacks witch will not be good for your business
