Re: The Marksman. Liam Neeson
Not many movies left to watch if you avoid virtue signalling actors. Majority of Hollywood now woke snowflakes unfortunately.

Re: The Marksman. Liam Neeson
They will do whatever they can to remain relevant, no matter that it takes and which direction they need to take.
Even seriously anti gun people pay to watch their action movies too...

Re: The Marksman. Liam Neeson
In truth that is why they are called actors, they portray someone other than themselves, their own identity differs from the one they play.
In a movie you can be the pope, or hitler, or god, or shrek, none of that speaks of the person you are in real life. Ben Affleck is not batman, and Robert Downey JR is not iron man, in real life they are totally different people. If Jerry Miculek plays Jerry Miculek then you have the right to criticize him if he does go all anti, but Liam in reality can do just about anything he likes, he gets paid for it.
We take offence because we are anti, anti-firearms, and we call an anti-firearm actor portraying a firearm using person a hypocrite, where just about any modern Hollywood movie portrays a 50kg woman punching a 90kg man clear across the room with ease.
Movies are not real, never were, yet we like to watch things we find acceptable and criticize the things we have a personal gripe with, such as in this case. A hypocrite in real life is someone creating a vaccine but refusing to take it, or someone creating a social media platform but refusing their own family members to use it.
An actor being paid to act can never be a hypocrite, that is like assuming any woman that ever did a sex scene is a slut by default, she is not allowed to be a normal person like us. The only real story here is if Hollywood feeds the public one thing for profit, meaning giving them what they want, but hate the message in their own products.

Re: The Marksman. Liam Neeson
You make a point, but Neeson is almost strictly in action movies these days. He makes millions of dollars from them and a big part of the movie is the fact that they have guns in them. If he was neutral on the issue and said everyone make up their own mind then sure, but he is anti and then goes on to make a living off of using guns in movies.
If America outlawed guns tomorrow, then it would be a little tricky to have movies staged in America with guns in them. So from that standpoint he is a hypocrite because if he had his way America would more than likely be gun free.

2 pages and nobody's even talked about the movie, just the actor's views.
So what about the movie made it so bad ?
