Calling Gert Odendaal
I found this You Tube channel that revives Edwardian History of England. People that actually live the part in the time manner. Historians and scientist. Not every episode will interest everyone, but there is a lot of a lot.
Absolute history it is called.

I found it very enlightening, just touch's on everything. They cover enough so as that you understand what and how, but not deep enough to make it a "how too" lesson.

A very good book with a little bit of everything is Sapiens by Juval Noah Harari.
